A large All Terrain crane overturned on Saturday on a ‘brownfield’ construction site in Johor Baru in southern Malaysia.

The operator, said to be in his 30s, was trapped his cab, but was rescued within minutes and was only slightly injured. He has been lifting an excavator onto the top of a three storey building when the ground appears to have given way beneath the cranes rear outriggers causing it to overturn and drop the load.

Johor Baru is located accross the straits from Singapore and is a part of the Singapore conurbation – although in Malaysia.
